Health, Safety & Insurance

As tree surgeons, we at Totally Trees take health and safety seriously, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and BS 3998: 1989 British Standard Recommendations for Tree Work.  This means work is only undertaken using suitably qualified personnel (tree surgeons), equipped with the correct tools and safety equipment to do the work properly.

Not only do we ensure the welfare and safety of our employees, but we also make sure work is carried out with careful regard to the general public, our client and their property.

Our comprehensive health and safety package includes:

  • Insurance: Public Liability and Employers Liability
  • Training: Our staff are trained through a mixture of in house and externally accredited training systems. They are up-to-date in the latest arboriculture techniques, and are NPTC qualified in a range of tree work and chainsaw operations, where required.
  • Equipment: All equipment complies with the relevant national and international standards, is inspected and undergoes regular maintenance checks to ensure it is safe to use.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: All operators are issued with full personal protective equipment.
  • Documents: A full safety pack can be supplied on request, this contains copies of or insurance, company policy, method statements and risk assessment information.
